MARC DWORKIN OF LIVINGSTON'S NANA'S DELI IS GUEST ON WOR RADIO
Arthur Schwartz and Joan Hamburg of WOR Radio NY hosted Marc Dworkin of
Nana's in Livingston on their Weekend Show March 3rd. Dworkin was invited to be a
guest on the well-known radio talk show after meeting Arthur Schwartz at a book
party held for Schwartz at Classic Thyme in Westfield, NJ.

Schwartz, the author of three cookbooks and well-known food guru in NYC, invited
Dworkin to bring a "taste of Nana's" to the studio in NYC where he and co-host Joan
Hamburg could sample Nana's food. Dworkin responded by bringing a large number
of samples from his extensive Jewish & Italian specialties menu, causing the hosts to
proclaim it was a "feast". As the co-hosts sampled and extolled the virtues of Nana's
food items, Dworkin, Schwartz and Hamburg discussed the origins of Nana's (Marc's
grandmother's) special tuna & Sloppy Joe's, a triple decker sandwich which is a true
New Jersey original. Schwartz, obviously pleased with the tasting, capped the show's
segment by saying, "You can cater my party anytime.".

Dworkin, who had never been on a radio program before, gave high ratings to the
experience. "Arthur and Joan are lively, kind and generous people. They made me feel
very comfortable as we chatted and they tasted. It was fun for everyone who works at
the store, too. Even our customers were excited for us after they heard the show. The
phone has not stopped ringing."

Marc Dworkin has owned and operated Nana's, a take out and catering establish-
ment on South Livingston Avenue, since 1985.
